God sends the Angel Gabriel to Earth to give a country preacher a new book of the bible and commanding the preacher to go out and create a new church. The preacher obeys God’s command and creates one of the largest churches in the world. But something is not right in the church. Former church members suspended FBI agent Alex August and hacker Piper Harris team up to investigate the darkness in the church, but soon find themselves on the run from people that want to kill them because of their investigations. While investigating the church, a world pandemic erupts and starts killing everyone not a church member. Suspecting the pandemic is somehow connected to the church, Alex and Piper rush to find a cure before it is too late.
